Funeral for Ken Barrett

Our dear brother Ken Barrett fell asleep in Jesus on February 1, aged 98. He lived with a steadfast hope in the soon return of his Saviour, and we take comfort in knowing he rests in the arms of Jesus. Recently, Ken shared, “Only through the love of Jesus and by His grace can we experience forgiveness and peace. His faith was an inspiration to many, and his love for God’s Word was evident in the friendships he nurtured.

Fred Fiegert, his close friend, fondly recalled their time together, “I enjoyed reading the Scriptures to Ken, that lead to a wonderful discussion about life, the gospel, the love of God and his journey through life. We’d laugh and then pray together.”

His funeral service will be at Wahroonga Church on February 13 at 11 o’clock, followed by a wake at Killara Golf Club. Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the cardiac unit at St Vincent’s Hospital. Your generosity will honour Ken’s memory in a way that brings hope and care to others in need.
