Movies in the Bush

May 10. Join us for two great Aussie movies: Rabbit Proof Fence and Crocodile Dundee.

Be at 357 Pacific Highway, Kangy Angy for a 6pm start. BYO chair or rug, rug-up and bring mosquito repellent and snacks.

Swing Bridge Loop Walk/Restaurant Night

Sabbath May 24. Meet by 4pm at the end of Keighran Place, Cherrybrook for the start of the Swing Bridge Loop Walk. Assemble near the sign. This is a pretty bushland walk that crosses Pyes Creek via a swing bridge.  The loop is less than 1km in total and will take about 20-25 minutes at a leisurely pace.

After the walk and closing Sabbath we will then proceed to The Brook Eatery at Cherrybrook Shopping Village (Shepherds Drive) for dinner. Check out the menu here.

Please RSVP by Sunday May 19 as we will need to confirm numbers with the restaurant. If you wish to come for the walk only, or the restaurant only, that’s okay. Of course both would be better still.  Just let me know when you reply if you are coming for one or both. 

Vivid Festival of Light/Vivid Cruise with Dinner

Saturday night June 14. I have been able to make a booking for 10 people for a Vivid Cruise with buffet dinner.  Cost $59.

We will meet as a whole group at Darling Harbour by 5.30pm to enjoy the light displays in and around that area.  By 7.15 those who have booked for the cruise will need to be at King Street Wharf 9 for the 1.5 hour cruise. The boat will take us around the foreshore of the harbour, near the Opera House, etc. to get the best views of the lights from the water.  Others can continue to enjoy the Vivid experience from the streets of Sydney. 

If you wish to be part of the cruise please deposit $59 into our singles account ASAP to avoid disappointment. We already have 5 people who are definitely planning this option so there are not that many places left.
