At Castle Hill Adventist Church, we believe the daily rhythm of prayer is about love—shaping our lives around the presence of God as Jesus Himself did. Morning prayer begins our day with intimacy and direction, rooted in the Lord’s Prayer; midday prayer interrupts the rush of life with the Shema, re-anchoring us in our identity as God’s people; and evening prayer closes the day with gratitude, reminding us of God’s goodness and sustaining love. This simple, historic rhythm—practiced by Daniel, embodied by Jesus, and lived out by the early church—cultivates faithfulness in the ordinary, steadies us in seasons of chaos, and draws us deeper into the ongoing love story between God and His people.

News

Church social: Talent night

Tonight is the night! Starts at 6 o’clock. Dinner will be provided, and the Year 11 students will be selling drinks to fundraise for their Solomons mission trip. Hope to see you all there!

Church Flowers

Jeanette Kemp is leading our church flower ministry. Thank you all for your enthusiastic support — a number of people have already signed up.

A bunch of fresh flowers is great because:

  • it enhances our worship time
  • you can choose a particular date to provide the flowers, in honour of a special someone or something
  • you can choose to take them with you after church, or allow our pastors to gift them as a message of love to someone whose week needs brightening
  • if you wish we can include a message about your flowers in the bulletin

All you need to do to get involved is to donate $60. The rest will be taken care of. Our florist will prepare the flowers and Jeanette will bring them to church.

More ways to donate flowers:

  • Place the $60 in a tithe envelope, labelled ‘flowers’, and drop in the offering bag.
  • Tap&Go or eGiving: make your donation, then text or email Peter Dose, our treasurer, to let him know. His contact details are 0450 636 414 and chilltreasurer@gmail.com.

Breakfast Blitz for ADRA

ADRA Blacktown reports that there is a consistent demand for breakfast items from their food pantry. If you would like to help, please pick up an empty bag today after church and return it by September 20. (Alternatively, place a donation in a labelled tithe envelope and we can do the shopping for you.)

Suggested items:

  • Cereals or porridge
  • Long-life milk
  • Baked beans or spaghetti (any brand)
  • Tuna fish (plain in brine)
  • Vegemite, honey or jam (no nut butters)
  • Small boxes of tea, herbal tea or coffee sachets
