Today’s we’ll reflect on how the Exodus story echoes throughout the rest of the Bible, and how Jesus is central to the Exodus story. Pr Jonny will be leading us.

First we’ll have close Sabbath and have supper, then we’ll watch “Apple Mortgage Cake”, the inspirational true story of a woman who aims to bake 100 apple cakes and sell them at $40 each in order to save her home, and how this idea completely changes her and her family.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sunny Maharaj, who died on Wednesday May 21, after a courageous battle with cancer. His funeral will be held on Friday May 30.

At our Mother’s Day service today we will continue our journey through the book of Exodus, focusing on chapter two.

We are starting playgroup again, Tuesdays from 9:30, in Stanford Hall.

Upcoming singles events include movies in the bush on May 10, a bushwalk and dinner on May 24, and a Vivid harbour cruise on June 14.

We are starting a new series this week, on the book of Exodus. Pastor Marcus will be kicking it off with “Oppressed But Not Overcome”.

On May 21 the Creative Activities team will be serving Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and fundraising for the Cancer Council. All welcome. Come and meet some of the lovely folk that come to Creative Activities each week, and support a great cause at the same time.
